Jobs at CCDH

The Center for Countering Digital Hate is a non-profit organisation that analyses and actively disrupts the architecture of online hate and misinformation. We do this by exposing individuals and networks behind online hate and misinformation; introducing costs for those seeking to spread hate and misinformation; and providing public advice to stop their spread online.

We are currently recruiting for two roles to join our rapidly expanding team: a Campaigns and Communications Officer and a Research Officer.

CAMPAIGNS AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Responsible to: Head of Campaigns and Communications
Location: London
Key purpose: Communications supporting our Stop Funding Fake News campaign
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, permanent role
Opening date: Thursday 6 August
Closing date: Friday 21 August

We are looking for a campaigns and communications officer to work primarily on our campaign, Stop Funding Fake News, which persuades organisations to remove their advertising from fake news websites publishing bigotry, climate denial, and medical misinformation. They will also support the wider work of CCDH, as required.

The role focuses on external communications: leading on the campaign’s social media output; maintaining the campaign’s website; assisting in securing print and broadcast media coverage; contacting advertisers; supporting our campaign’s volunteers; and some stakeholder management. The aim of this role is to extend the campaign’s reach and bring more brands on board. You will work in close collaboration with our research team.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain campaigning experience, develop your communications skills and make a difference. You will be joining a small but rapidly expanding team, with opportunities to get involved in different projects and pitch new ideas.
